Staff Skills and Expertise

Delivering a robust and reliable home support service means a robust system and a reliable team.

Strong support

Passion for quality at Bridges Home Care starts at the top with the partners. It continues through each detail of the business so that our care services are reliable, robust and dependable.

Bridges Invests Heavily in Computer Systems

We invest heavily in excellent software systems to resource our management team who can then effectively deliver specialist support services and manage change. Our recruitment process is rigorous – selection is based on our own written and practical training, which develops towards a Diploma in Health and Social Care. Specialist care skills are also provided for certain needs such as those living with a dementia. Staff and systems are regularly assessed and maintained through Care Management Reviews.

"I should like to thank you and all the ladies who helped to care for her when she was at home. It was a great comfort to us knowing she had such caring helpers."

Our support workers all have their own transport and live in the community they visit, which means they can help to ‘bridge the gap’ by sharing news and local events with clients. Home visits start at 7:30 am, making clients comfortable, ensuring they have taken medication and preparing them for their day. We offer personal, practical assistance throughout the day, helping with:

  • personal hygiene
  • maintaining continence
  • medication supervision
  • shopping
  • washing up, laundry
  • help to visit Day Centres, libraries or hospitals.
